The FINANCE & RISK IT IT Team is responsible for the implementation of third party and in house developed reporting solutions for the Liquidity, Finance and Risk sponsors. Their scope of responsibilities includes the interaction with multiple stakeholders, project management, business analysis, technical support and development of IT solutions in line with best practices established by CIB and the BNP Paribas group
The NAR FINANCE & RISK IT Liquidity team is responsible for supporting the successful operation of the FINANCE & RISK IT Liquidity department globally within it’s own region. This includes: management of the Liquidity project portfolio and system productions across the Americas region, and delivery of the strategy for the ongoing transformation for CIB Americas. Provision of project management, project accounting and business analysis resources to cover support and development of liquidity systems and processes to meet the changing needs of finance reporting and control. Administrative services to facilitate the day‐to‐day running of the department.
The position at a glance
The Business Analyst candidate will participate in the day-to-day activities and support the team on various initiatives, including – functional design, specification, and deployment of Liquidity systems and process changes initiatives at both a Legal Entity and Intermediate Holding Company (IHC) level. S/he will work as a team member of projects.

In detail
· Analyze and document user requirements and business processes.
· Develop functional specification requirements for IT development and to ensure user requirements are met.
· Perform system integration testing to ensure development is in line with functional specification.
· Manage issues and escalate effectively.
· Participate in project planning and cost estimates.
· Ensure on-time quality delivery of projects and activities assigned.
· Report on and monitor project status on regular basis (weekly) as to inform all stakeholders of ongoing program updates.
· Liaise with cross-functional teams (business groups, IT, and PMO organizations) in New York, New Jersey, Montreal, Mumbai, London and Paris
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
· Bachelor’s degree in the fields of business, finance, accounting, or management of information systems obtained within the last 12 months. Master’s degree would be a plus.
· Accounting and basic general ledger general structure knowledge required.
· Experience must include business analysis, data sourcing, functional specification, and application testing.
· Strong Microsoft software office skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
· Knowledge of project management, SharePoint, and database management – standard SQL.
· Regulatory reporting knowledge preferred.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely to audiences of varying technical or accounting levels.
· Ability to work effectively in geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.
· Ability to understand complex financial products and system architectures, including accounting business processes.
– Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of French and English is required.
