IMG_0840The 2014 BNP Paribas Open was held from March 3 to 16 at Indian Wells (California). It ended up with the victory of Novak Djokovic against Roger Federer during the men’s single final, and of Flavia Pennetta against Li Na during the women’s single final.

BNP Paribas, who recently renewed its support for the tournament until 2018, is particularly proud to have linked its brand for the past five years with this prestigious event in the United States.

BNP Paribas currently has 15,000 employees in the USA, who serve several millions individuals and companies. In the Western United States, the Group is represented by its retail banking affiliate Bank of the West.

BNP Paribas has ambitious plans in North America, as strengthening its brand is very important. This commitment towards the Davis Cup, the Fed Cup as well as tournaments such as the BNP Paribas Open, the BNP Paribas Showdown and the Bank of the West Classic enables us to uphold this challenge while sharing special experiences with US and Canadian audiences.

This year, 300 of the best players in the world are competing in the BNP Paribas Open. This achievement serves to consolidate the BNP Paribas Open as one of the top tennis tournaments in the world. This Masters meets its growth objective and can now attract close to 500,000 fans with the sports complex extension and a new 8,000 seat stadium. This will rank it just behind the US Open and the Australian Open in terms of attendance.
